FranTech 2016 Recap: Successful for Naranga & Educational for Attendees

This year’s FranTech show was one for the books. Both days, October 26 and 27, were full of insightful sessions with key takeaways. From think tanks and roundtable discussions to featured speakers, there was rarely a moment where attendees weren’t able to hear an expert’s opinion regarding all things technology and digital marketing for franchises. With more than 100 exhibitors and many more attendees, FranTech 2016 in Austin, Texas, was an exciting event for all.

Naranga’s experience at this show, which is sponsored by the International Franchise Association, was even a little sweeter than the rest. Our CEO, Tariq Farid, delivered a well-received keynote address that focused on the combination of business motivation and technology implementation that helped globalize the Edible Arrangements brand. He covered the Edible Arrangements success story by detailing milestones throughout his journey, shared the inspiration behind his brands and talked about how he’s always had a knack for technology.

Through that love of technology, Tariq created his own franchise software provider, Naranga, to successfully run and grow his brand. With easy-to-use, mobile-friendly and centralized solutions for operations management, employee training, brand standards, lead management, digital signage and ecommerce, Naranga was born out of the needs of a franchisor.

In addition to having our CEO deliver a keynote address, Naranga’s VP of Technology Solutions & Delivery, Faraz Iqbal, hosted one of several roundtable discussions during which he addressed questions attendees had regarding Naranga’s franchise management software benefits and capabilities. The main topic up for discussion at our table was a self-auditing tool for franchisors to provide their location owners more autonomy and discipline. This was an open discussion where interested individuals had the opportunity to participate in a genuine and collaborative environment. Naranga was able to hear first-hand some of the latest industry news, trends and client requests.

And, of course, just like we mentioned in our FranTech preview, scheduled presentations left attendees satisfied and informed about the latest trends and lessons learned in sessions that discussed digital initiatives, marketing ROI, social media, branding and other topics.

FranTech 2016 was a successful event for all attendees and exhibitors involved. It provided people with ample networking sessions along with informative speeches, presentations and roundtable discussions. There is no other conference quite like it when it comes to focusing on digital marketing and technology in the franchise industry. If you weren’t able to make it this year, we hope to see you there in 2017.
